2024 was a very successful year for JBT. From live music events and fundraisers to football matches, funded courses, and songwriting workshops, we accomplished so much. Our commitment to supporting young people in the creative arts was reflected in our investment of over £10,000 throughout the year.

Looking ahead to 2025, we anticipate nearly doubling our expenditure to further expand our projects. This includes increasing part-funded music lessons, providing more rehearsal space, and creating additional opportunities in the creative arts. With these plans, 2025 is set to be an even bigger year for JBT.
Building on last year’s success, we aim to host another charity football match and send even more young people to the summer school songwriting course at SAE Institute in Liverpool. These events are currently pending confirmation, and we will share further details as they become available. Our monthly S&S Evenings will continue throughout 2025, a workshop that has become such a welcoming and supportive community for both regular and new attendees.
We have been working hard to organise even more events for this year, working with really exciting venues and organisers - some deeply rooted in Liverpool’s music heritage - to provide young people with the best platforms to showcase their talent. More details on these events will be shared in due course. We are so excited about our plans for 2025 and look forward to keeping you, our stakeholders, updated every step of the way.
However, the plan to nearly double our expenditure comes with its challenges. None of these plans are possible without the generosity and support of our incredible community. In 2024, we came close to covering our expenditure with the money we raised - ending the year with a very small loss; something we are proud of as a new charity. To ensure financial sustainability in 2025 and beyond, we will once again be counting on your support!
There will be plenty of opportunities to contribute through fundraising events this year, but you can also support us in other ways. One of the most impactful ways to help is by setting up a monthly donation via the ‘Support Us’ page on our website - even a contribution of £5 per month makes a significant difference. If you prefer a more hands-on approach, you could consider organising a sponsored event, such as a bike ride, skydive, or marathon. We would be extremely grateful for any fundraising efforts, and we are more than happy to assist with planning and setting up a fundraising platform. If you’re interested, please reach out to us at admin@jacobbillingtontrust.com. We understand that not everyone is able to donate financially, for one reason or another. However, you can still support us by engaging with and sharing our social media content - an effective way to help without spending a penny!
In addition to donations, we are actively working to secure grant funding for the year. Adam, our Community Lead, has stepped into the role of Head of Grant Funding and is focused on obtaining support through government and business grants. If you would like to help with this process or advise of any grants that you think would be suitable for JBT, please email adam@jacobbillingtontrust.com.
We are looking forward to everything 2025 has in store and appreciate your continued support in making it a successful year. Thank you in advance for being part of our journey!
