Songwriters & Storytellers
Our Songwriters & Storytellers Evening, or 'S&S', as we call it, is designed as a safe space for young, aspiring, and like-minded young people to showcase their work with peers. Young people from Sefton can come along and perform a song, a poem or a story that they have written, or are in the process of writing, confident that they are in a casual environment that supports and nurtures their talent.

S&S also offers the opportunity to develop the ideas of the young attendees. Others attending are always happy to offer ideas to help continue, or even finish, the production that has been put forward by the performer.
We're incredibly pleased to be able to use Bramble & Berries as the location for our S&S Evenings. As a local charity, using and supporting a fantastic local coffee shop is something we're very proud of. Bramble & Berries is a perfect venue for S&S Evenings; comforting, welcoming and cosy - not to mention, they make one of the best cups of coffee you'll find anywhere!
The songwriters/story tellers evenings are a fantastic place with mutual creative minds. People worry that they aren't good enough for the evenings but that's so far from the truth.
Everyone is so encouraging no matter what material is shared - whether it's just an idea or a complete piece/song.
You always leave with happy and positive vibes. Definitely give it a try if you create anything musical for yourself.

Our S&S evenings are open to all young musicians and creative artists; singers, musicians, songwriters, poets. Whatever your specialty is, you're sure to receive a warm welcome and be integrated into our friendly group in no time.

We meet up once a month, mostly on the last Wednesday of the month. You can keep an eye out on our Events page to find out when the next S&S evening is.
