Formby Hall Golf Club donate £3.5k to JBT

The golf club members have been fundraising for the last 12 months.

When the new golf captains for the 2024/25 season at Formby Hall Golf Club were announced, Mike (the men's captain) reached out to JBT to ask if we would be their chosen charity of the year – an honour we accepted without hesitation.

Over the past 12 months, the club has hosted an incredible range of fundraising events, from golf days and virtual horse racing nights to members' dinners and more. Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of everyone involved, a staggering £3,518 has been raised!

Every single penny will go directly into the day-to-day running of the charity, helping us to continue creating life-changing creative arts opportunities for young people across Sefton and beyond.

Last week, Mike and Suzy – the captains of the men's and women's teams – met with our Trustees at Liverpool Road Studios. We had the opportunity to share how this funding will be used and the incredible impact it will have on the young people we support.

Being chosen as the charity of the year by a respected establishment like Formby Hall Golf Club is a true privilege. As a relatively young charity, unexpected support like this significantly eases financial pressures and gives us more flexibility to grow and evolve our work in the community.
