The final, fully funded place on ICMP/SAE's Songwriting Summer School has been decided after the application process was closed last month.
A massive congratulations to Sadie Holt, who was successful in their application, and has secured the final place on offer by JBT for this course. After submitting a very impressive application, Sadie joins 2 other fully-funded students that will be attending the course thanks to JBT.
Sadie had the below to say after finding out she'd been successful in their application,
"Thank you so much for choosing me. I love all the work you do as a charity and all the opportunities you’ve created for young musicians, its amazing! I’m so insanely grateful to have been chosen and so excited to take part in the course!"
Providing opportunities like this are only possible because of the generosity of donations to JBT. For this, all the trustees would like to reiterate our sincere thanks for your continued support.
To the other young people who missed out on their application, we'd like to pass on our commiserations - thank you for applying. All applications were of a very high standard and we hope that those who were unsuccessful will continue to engage with the opportunities that JBT provide.
Our Operations Lead, Daniel Taylor, echoed this and spoke on the future of our work with ICMP/SAE.
The standard of applications we received was excellent and every young person that applied should be extremely proud of their application - successful or not. We are building a positive relationship with both ICMP and SAE, and we hope to be able to offer this opportunity again next year - and even more in the future.
All of us at JBT look forward to hearing the feedback from the course, which takes place in August.
