Mel took part in the Howarth Hobble this weekend - raising money for the JBT!
On Saturday 22nd April, Mel Spence took part in the Howarth Hobble and raised a staggering £1,183 for the Jacob Billington Trust.
It took Mel, and her friend Steph Burdon, 13 hours to complete the gruelling 51km trail, climbing some 4,396ft in the process. Their aim was to complete the trail in 8 hours, but a leg injury for Steph and a back injury for Mel hampered their progress.
All of us at the Jacob Billington Trust are in awe of Mel's commitment and acheivement, and we are so thankful that she chose to support the JBT.
Mel has already been a great supporter of the JBT; providing amazing hot food for our launch party in February. Her commitment has not gone under the radar and we'd like to, once again, thank her for her continued support!
